AGRIPOTASH
Potash Derived from Molasses (PDM) 14.5% K2O min. — Potassium made in India. The country imports almost all its muriate of potash, and PDM is the domestic alternative — which is why it carries a subsidy. It is a weaker source than MOP by the numbers, so the rate per acre is higher, but it brings organic matter with it and the price reflects the difference.

Our grade is the 14.5% K2O PDM notified under the FCO in 2009 and covered by the Nutrient Based Subsidy scheme since Rabi 2022. Note that a separate 50% K2O grade was notified for commercial trials by S.O. 4044(E) of 20 July 2026 — a different product, not this one.
The FCO sets composition and labelling, not application rate. Note that the notified minimum is 14.5% K2O against 60% for muriate of potash, so a rate carried across from MOP would be roughly four times short.
