Adjuvants
An adjuvant does not control anything itself; it changes how the spray behaves once it leaves the nozzle. On waxy or hairy leaves, and in hard water, it is often the difference between a spray that works and one that runs off.
Choosing within this category
Spreaders lower surface tension so droplets cover rather than bead. Stickers hold the deposit through dew and light rain. Penetrants help uptake through a waxy cuticle. Add at the rate on the label — an excess can strip the deposit or scorch the crop.
